Kikowaena means "center of the circle" in Hawaiian. What an appropriate phrase to describe the beauty that hooping has brought into my life. We are building a movement and building a brand here in Honolulu, so hopefully you will start seeing more hooping on Oahu! This blog was made to promote our hooping, but also to spread beautiful photos and videos of other hoopers around the world.

I can’t remember her name, but she is a member of Shakti Dance Movement, a tribal fusion bellydance troupe in Honolulu. This was from her solo during David Starfire’s set, and I just love the motion captured in this picture.
